WIC Week highlights the many contributions of women in our industry, and helps to raise awareness of the wide range of career opportunities available for women in construction. The week's activities serve to highlight the diverse potential career paths for tradeswomen, as well as to celebrate women in construction, engineering and design leadership roles.

Be The Power In Your Success: Rise & Shine - his program will provide attendees a unique opportunity to come together and hear first-hand from some of our region's leading women on how they’re honing in to their superpowers to make outstanding changes internally as well as externally including obstacles they've overcome and how they're not just leveraging their seat at the table, but using their voice too.


Fundraiser Benefiting DIY Girls and Girls in STEM - The WIC Week "Fundraiser Benefitting DIY Girls and Girls in STEM" is an opportunity to support and fund DIY Girls, an organization providing after-school and summer programs that provide hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) experiences for girls. Girls learn technical skills and apply them by creating their own creative projects and inventions. 50% of the proceeds of this fundraiser will go to DIY Girls. Funds raised from this event will also benefit NAWIC LA’s very own Girls in STEM Scholarship Fund. NAWIC LA awards the Girls in STEM Scholarship to girls pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) to increase the future representation of women in the construction industry.  The Girls in STEM Scholarship will support college-bound high school seniors pursuing a construction career/construction related pathway at community colleges and universities. 50% of the proceeds of this fundraiser will go to Girls in STEM Scholarship fund.
