Run It Women’s Workforce: Seeking Sponsors to Build a Stronger, More Inclusive Construction Industry
NAWIC Los Angeles is proud to highlight Run It Women’s Workforce, a dynamic local nonprofit dedicated to empowering women—particularly from underserved communities—with fast-track training and direct job placement into construction office and operations roles.
Founded to bridge the gap between talented women and career opportunities in construction administration (including permitting, bidding, scheduling, project coordination, and more), Run It Women’s Workforce equips participants with practical skills that contractors desperately need. Through partnerships with organizations like LA Trade Tech College and NAWIC LA, the program has already hosted impactful events such as the Women in Construction Educational Career Fair, connecting job-ready talent directly with employers.
Why Sponsorship Matters Now
The construction industry faces a significant workforce shortage, with hundreds of thousands of positions needing to be filled in the coming years. Women represent an enormous, underutilized talent pool. Increasing their participation—not just in the field but in essential office and management roles—helps address labor gaps, brings fresh perspectives to project management, communication, and problem-solving, and drives better business outcomes.
Research shows that diverse teams, including greater representation of women, lead to improved decision-making, innovation, and financial performance. For contractors, supporting programs like Run It Women’s Workforce means building a more resilient, skilled workforce while fostering inclusive workplaces where everyone can thrive.
Sponsorship opportunities with Run It Women’s Workforce allow companies to invest directly in workforce development, gain access to pre-screened, trained talent, and demonstrate commitment to diversity and community impact. Whether through funding training cohorts, providing mentorship, or hosting site visits, sponsors play a vital role in “running it” for the next generation of women leaders in construction.
