I'm the founder and CEO of BEYREP, Inc. BEYREP is a simple online home improvement management tool that puts people in control of their remodeling projects and gives them peace of mind. I recently published a book called "Revivify Your Home: Take Control of Your Home Improvement, with Peace of Mind and Level Up Your Life."
Back story, I was fascinated with the home improvement since childhood, I earned my architecture degrees from UC Berkeley and Yale University, and worked at UC Berkeley as a Campus Architect. I'm passionate about helping people to achieve a better life through a better home and believes that a home can change a person's life profoundly. Over the years, I volunteered to work with the YWCA Women Shelters, Midnight Mission, and Habitat for Humanity.
In 2018, I was named a Power Player by Angeleno, and in 2019, an Icon of Beverly Hills by Modern Luxury of Beverly Hills. I'm married to a rocket scientist, and we have two kids. "Revivify Your Home" is my first book.
How would your 10-year-old self react to what you do now?
GM: My 10-year-old self would be in shock. Considering, I was still living in Taiwan at that time, and I didn't speak a word of English. The thought of starting a technology company in America, writing a book in English, while raising two kids is a major departure from what was expected of my 10-year-old self. I am living in my wildest dreams.
If you won a million dollars, what would you do with the money?
GM: I would donate a majority of portion to YWCA women's shelter. They help domestic violence survivors with their children to gain some safety in a temporary community home. The YWCA provides services and education to the community and works to end domestic violence.
What is your definition of success?
GM: I want to empower people to own their potential and stand in their greatness so that we can celebrate our present joyfully and upgrade our future. My definition of success is serving people in a meaningful way, making a positive impact in their lives, and helping them to lead a better, happier, healthier life.
If you could do anything, besides what you're doing now, what would you do?
GM: I would travel around the world, volunteering to build homes/schools and help to make an impact on others' lives.
